GEAR Software Signs OEM DISTRIBUTION Agreement with NEATO^® LLC

JUPITER, FL (BUSINESS WIRE) -- August 11, 1998 -- GEAR Software, Inc., continuing to provide its customers with superior CD-R software products, signs an OEM distribution agreement with NEATO^® LLC, the maker of NEATO MediaFace™ Software. GEAR specializes in providing consumer and professional pre-mastering and recording applications for the growing CD-Recordable industry. NEATO, maker of the leading CD-R labeling system, was the first to develop an innovative solution to CD label creation and application for CD and DVD storage media.

GEAR's cutting-edge products, including GEAR Audio™, CD-Replicator™, GEAR™ Multimedia, CD-R Suite and WebGrabber will include NEATO labeling software. Customers will receive both GEAR and NEATO software on one CD. After information is recorded on CD using one of GEAR's products, they will be able to design customized CD labels using NEATO software. Further, GEAR customers will receive a special offer to purchase the NEATO package for $19.95, a $60 savings. The NEATO package will contain labels, jewel case sets, envelopes and the NEATO Jr. applicator designed to ensure accurate placement of each label onto a CD or DVD every time.

NEATO LLC provides tools for the users to design professional looking labels. This software is compatible with Windows 95, Windows 3.x, Windows NT and Macintosh. Users can create original designs or utilize the software's templates with other popular PC and Mac graphic programs. The software automatically positions the background art on the label. Using the NEATO Jr. label applicator to accurately align and apply the completed label to the surface of the CD completes the process.
