1998 Press Releases/November 24, 1998 New web site address, www.gearcdr.com Just a part of GEAR Software Makin' Tracks! JUPITER, FL (BUSINESS WIRE) -- November 24, 1998 -- GEAR Software announces a new Web address, WWW.GEARCDR.COM, which replaces www.gearsoftware.com. Following the recent acquisition of GEAR Software, Inc. by Command Software Systems, Inc., GEAR Software is upgrading its current line of CD-R software to a new level of innovation. In doing so, GEAR's Web site and address have changed to better reflect the product line and direction in which GEAR is heading. For more than a decade, GEAR has been setting the pace in the CD-R and DVD software industry and now its upgrade of GEAR CD-R Suite and GEAR Multimedia and the renaming of both products to Makin' Tracks! and Makin' Tracks! Pro respectively, continue to set GEAR products apart from all the others. Both suites will debut in early 1999. Makin' Tracks! will feature multiple recording capabilities, allowing the recording of multiple CDs onto one. Makin' Tracks! Pro will include plug-ins that will enable the user to download software, modify the existing program and copy multiple CDs at once. Both products are capable of duplicating audio and data information. The GEAR product line also includes GEAR Audio, which allows the mixing of music and audio onto one CD; GEAR Replicator, allowing the creation of perfect duplication of any CD; and WebGrabber, allows users to copy Web content onto CD. All GEAR products are bundled with a free trial version of Command AntiVirus (formerly F-PROT Professional), Command Software's cutting-edge anti-virus solution, best known for its virus detection and disinfection capabilities. NEATO MediaFace from NEATO® LLC, is also bundled with most GEAR products, enabling users to design customized, professional labels for their CD-R and DVD replications. MORE "Users can rest assured that GEAR will continue to develop professional mastering software which has made us the best in custom features to satisfy their needs," said Dyan Dyer, President and CEO of GEAR Software and Command Software Systems. "The fact that our software is multi-platform based and has the ability to let the user automate tasks using a batch file feature, something that our competition does not offer, is just one of the many ways we demonstrate our dedication to this industry." Remember you can only reach GEAR's Web site by logging onto WWW.GEARCDR.COM. So, visit our site and find out more about how GEAR is Makin' Tracks! ### PRESS CONTACT:Esther Swann |
